As our beautiful country continues to suffer extreme challenges from the extreme bushfires our thoughts are with all of the people and animals affected.
We at WIT along with the rest of the nation are devastated by the scale and impact of the bushfires. We are incredibly proud and grateful to the heroic efforts of our firefighters around the country and for the amazing acts of kindness coming from people around the world.
As we move forward we acknowledge the important role tourism plays in helping communities recover and will continue our efforts in using what we do as a force for good for Australia and the long road to recovery. We have spent the last few days thinking of ways in which we can most effectively assist those effected by the bushfires that have devastated so many.
In dedication to helping it couldn’t be more timely that our next breakfast is on Friday February 14 (Valentine’s Day 💘 ) at The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. At this event all proceeds of raffle tickets purchased will go directly towards helping some of the reported millions of injured native Australian wildlife.
Keep an eye out for further ways to help our poor little furry friends as we will distribute a list of supplies desperately required to rehabilitate those animals that have been rescued.
Follow St Valentine and show the love this February 14 and donate what you can as many small donations make a big impact.
